McQuillan's distinguished career includes a notable tenure at Baldor Specialty Foods, where he served as Vice President of Sales and was a key member of the leadership team. There, he spearheaded the growth of the sales team, exponentially growing sales during his tenure. His roles also included Vice President of Strategy, Culture, and Sustainability. At Baldor, McQuillan, implemented strategic initiatives and led the SparCs (scraps spelled backward) initiative, aimed at reducing food waste across the organization.

"I am excited to join Sabatino as Chief Development Officer and to play a pivotal role in driving its exponential growth. The opportunity to advise on the company's approach to protecting and rebuilding the food system and its impact aligns perfectly with my passion for sustainability and food. I look forward to collaborating with the talented team at Sabatino and contributing to the company's future success," said Thomas McQuillian.

McQuillan's commitment to sustainability is evident in his roles. At Baldor, he initiated a strategic plan to create a zero organics to landfill program which also included the implementation of a plan to capture all paper, cardboard, cans and bottles for recycling in an effort to reduce overall waste. Prior to joining Sabatino, McQuillan served as Chief Sales Officer at Do Good Foods, where he continued his mission to eliminate grocery store waste in the U.S. through a scaled infrastructure approach to capture surplus food to feed chickens. The mission of Do Good was to find a usage for food, once considered waste, to fight waste and combat climate change.

Thomas McQuillan's addition to Sabatino's leadership team is part of a broader strategy to fuel the company's accelerated growth and distribution of its products. Building on the momentum initiated by the arrival of Davide Cravero as Chief Financial Officer and Pauline Charles as VP of Marketing this past fall, Sabatino continues to fortify its presence across foodservice, industrial, retail, and e-commerce channels, reaching chefs, restaurants, and consumers nationwide. Thomas McQuillan's appointment marks another exciting chapter in Sabatino's growth, and more developments are anticipated in early 2024.
